Turning Off "Isolines" in a Section \ Elevation

By default, when you cut a Section or Elevation in AutoCAD Arch./MEP, "Isolines" will display for curved and circular objects (see below picture).

After the jump learn how to fix this issue...

To turn isolines off, you need to adjust the "2D Linework" Visual Style in the drawing you are cutting the Sections or Elevations.  The setting that needs to be adjusted is "Draw true silhouettes".  To make the needed adjustment, proceed to the "View" tab in the Ribbon and click the Visual Styles properties arrow (image below).

Of course, make sure to adjust this setting for the "2D Linework" Visual Styles; that is the one that counts.

That's IT!  Now refresh the Section or Elevation and the isolines should no longer appear.

Thanks, and I hope this helps...

BONUS TIP:
This setting is drawing specific.  So it is a good one to change in your company template.
